I am trying to fill a Sybase Database Developer role for a large software company large in Co Donegal, the Republic of Ireland. They are not too strict on candidates having an exact match. If you find you have skills that match most of their requirements, I would be interested in seeing a word doc version of your CV,

The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level and have at least 2-3 years software development experience. Strong knowledge of Database/Data warehousing experience is essential.

Job Description:

The selected candidate/s will form part of a project team responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a set of Sybase database that are used within the Service Channel Technologies area.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Providing estimates for software work products
* Database Analysis & Design
* Database development & Maintenance
* Documenting each phase of the Life Cycle
* Providing production support
* Developing on Windows &/or UNIX
* Developing applications involving:
* Database - SybaseV12.5
* Interacting with business partners in the US

Skills/Requirements:

Should have a strong working knowledge of:
* Relational Databases - Sybase (Would consider SQL)
* Creating and maintaining multi-layer stored procedures.
* Setting Primary Keys and indexes, Extensive knowledge of SQL. Should have a working knowledge of some or all of the following:
* Data warehousing
* UNIX Scripting
* Version control software
This position requires 4-6 weeks travel to the US.

Salary is negotiable, it is dependant on the amount of experience of the candidate. They have excellent benefits, pension, health insurance, educational assistance, canteen, parking and many others. The workforce is 65% Irish and the rest come from every corner of the globe.

That area of Ireland has a low cost of living, in rent, buying property. It is in a very scenic and unspoilt part of Ireland.The town has a population of 16,500 and growing. There are two shopping centres and a good variety of shops, pubs, clubs etc. There is a Community Centre with indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a public swimming pool and leisure centre, a library, a vibrant arts centre, a six-screen cinema, a golf club, pitch and putt, 10-pin bowling, astro turf playing surfaces, and athletics track etc.

Our clients will organise the necessary Visa, the relocation administration and all relocation costs.
