    For our customer, a young fast growing high-tech company, we are looking for a senior professional Business Development Manager to work on **remote**, who will be the first member of the sales team tasked with scaling the business by introducing software development services for highly reliable, easy to update and easy to manage software systems.

    **About the role**
    The ideal candidate is a senior sales and consultant professional with a solid hand on experience in delivery, pre-sales, product management and business development of complex front to back markets solutions. An experienced sales and business development person with ability to manage all aspects of the sales cycle independently and lead generation marketing activities. Structured and disciplined approach to sales lifecycles and accounts management. He or she will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. The candidate is able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

    **The company** builds and delivers high-assurance software by Functional Programming consultants for business. They use pure functional language tools such as Haskell and Nix to make the rapid development of correct, safe and modern software systems possible.

    **Responsibilities**
    · Develop and execute winning sales and business development strategies in Western Europe, with focus on FSI, manufacturing and life science industries.
    · Manage pipeline of enterprise deals
    · Manage lead generation activities
    · Build and maintain strong ties with company’s development teams and leaders

    **About you**
    · Your location: preferably the Netherlands. or Western Europe / Nordics
    · At least 5 years of experience in selling IT services to business decision makers, proven track record
    · Technical background, understanding of software development process
    · English (fluent or native) is a prerequisite; other languages would be advantageous
    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop strong and lasting relationships with team members, partners and clients
    · Ability to travel though limited travel is anticipated in this role
    · MBA is a strong advantage
