As the top Independent Distributor, Smith & Associates has developed an expertise in the distribution of electronic components. We apply that knowledge to offer procurement and supply chain solutions to our various customers. In addition, our Operations quality program and trained personnel ensure that our customer receives a quality product each and every time.



For our new warehouse in Haarlem we are looking for an Electronic Component Inspector who is eager to learn, detail-oriented and efficient. You will be part of an international, dynamic and professional Operations team.



Job Description



You support Operations by performing electronic component inspections and shipping and receiving duties.



Your specific responsibilities will be to:



· Verify information visually, using various microscopic equipment and the naked eye, to insure the component matches manufacturer specifications

· To receive and ship orders in a timely fashion

· Unload all inbound shipments from various carriers

· Open boxes, separate product and place in bins along with the waybill and pack list

· Utilize our proprietary system to complete, in detail, the component inspection and receiving process

· Examine components for physical defects

· Verify that Purchase Order/Sales Order requirements are met

· Communicate with appropriate individuals when discrepancies arise

· Complete internal /external labels per customer requirements

· Document product and shipping condition through pictures

· Package material in appropriate containers with sufficient padding and protection

· Place required paperwork in/on shipments






Profile

· Ability to work under pressure and still pay attention to detail

· Eagerness to learn

· Team player

· Good written and oral communication skills in English are a must

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel is a plus

· Component or product inspection experience is a plus

· Warehouse experience is a plus

· Knowledge of the electronics distribution field is helpful

· Preference for candidates who are based in or close to Haarlem
